- The registration deadline is August 15, 2026
- Each county is reimbursed up to a total of $5,000 for travel-related expenses, regardless of the number of registrants from the county.
- Registrants are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements.
- Registrants will receive lodging recommendations and a full trip schedule in the coming weeks.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2026
Participants should plan to arrive at their leisure. There will be no formal meetings or group meals on this day.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
The day begins with a breakfast briefing and speaking program at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, where UCCI will outline the agenda and goals of the trip, and we will hear from experts to discuss policy trends important to Illinois counties. Attendees will then meet with Senator Duckworth to explore Congressional partnerships in addressing transportation and other emerging issues like data centers and AI. Following lunch in the Capitol Hill area, we will have afternoon programming focused on Illinois county issues with DC thought leaders. The day concludes with a UCCI dinner.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026
Attendees will start the day with breakfast and a debrief discussion on the rooftop of Manatt’s office, then travel to the White House campus for a meeting with the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and other Administration officials. UCCI will sponsor a luncheon, and then members will head to Capitol Hill for meetings with House lawmakers aimed at furthering issues relevant to their specific counties and Congressional districts. The day concludes with a UCCI dinner.
