Governor Issues Updated Executive Order with New Mask Guidelines

3/1/2022

With a higher percentage of Illinois residents vaccinated than any other state in the region and the decline in COVID-19 positivity rates continuing, Governor Pritzker released an updated Executive Order lifting the mask requirement in most indoor settings on Monday, February 28, 2022. The Governor's EO also lifts the mask requirement in K-12 schools and daycares, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

School districts and private businesses can, however, continue to require masks at their discretion.
