Starting New Year's Day 2024, Illinois minimum wage workers receive another dollar increase, making the new required minimum wage $14 an hour.

In line with legislation enacted in 2019, this is the sixth scheduled increase in the state's minimum wage, keeping Illinois on the path to a $15 an hour minimum wage by 2025.
