ILETSB Grant Opportunities for Local Governments

The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (LETSB) has opened up FY25 Recruitment and Retention, Camera, and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) grant programs applications. 

New this year is the opportunity for local governments to lease their law enforcement body-worn cameras.

• Recruitment & Retention (Close Date: 1/15/2025)
  Provides funds to local governments for the purpose of hiring and retaining law enforcement officers. Offers Reimbursement, Advanced, Working Capital Funding. A local government cannot request more than $1,000,000. 

• Camera Grants (Close Date: 4/15/25)
  Officer Worn: $850, In-Car Cameras: $5750 

• NIBIN (Close Date: 4/1/25)
  NIBIN Machine, training for equipment, Personnel. Offers Reimbursement, Advance, and Working Capital funding. A local government cannot request more than $500,000.
