Legal opinion letters are drafted by UCCI legal counsel, Giffin, Winning, Cohen & Bodewes, P.C., in response to inquiries from County Board Chairs on issues facing them that are relevant to other member counties. These opinion letters are available to all UCCI member county chairs.
Attorney General opinions are handed down on a variety of different issues impacting county governance. UCCI member counties can readily access the official opinions of the Illinois Attorney General.
